Up on gamepad isn't working

Hello,
I have recently downloaded Dolphin and wanted to play a game but I found a problem. I am using a cheap gamepad (Esperanza Warrior) which works great for all my games except for Dolphin. When I press up on the analog stick (in GC) it doesn't notice.
If it's important, first Dolphin said it can't run because of lack of xinput1_3.dll. I downloaded it from here: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-fi...?xinput1_3 and put in main folder.

Delete that DLL you downloaded and install Microsoft's official DirectX web updater. If you go downloading random DLLs off the internet there's no guarantee that they'll actually work and there's also the potential that they've been tampered with to contain malware.

If fixing that doesn't fix the issue you'd noticed, then it's most likely that you'd just configured the settings poorly, and you should double check them.
