can some kind person tell me exactly how to enable widescreen for the rogue squadron games, i've tried to get it working but i see no change ingame.
Desktop #1 - i5 3570K, GTX 1050 Ti 4gb LP,  ssd, 10gb ram (Gaming)
Desktop #2 - i5 3470, GTX 1050 Ti 4gb LP, ssd, 10gb ram (Work 1)
Desktop #3 - i5 3470S, GTX 750 Ti 2gb LP, ssd, 10gb ram (Work 2)

Hey gamemasterplc, can you unstretch the menus for Kirby's Air Ride so that it will be the same aspect ratio as in-game? Also do it for debug menu as well. These have not been unstretched for the widescreen patch.

is there a guide anywhere that explains how to enable these codes?

The Star Wars Rogue Squardon 2 code was only tested on NTSC-U so it may not work on PAL. The Gecko code in Star Wars Rogue Squardon 2 search for the C_MTXPerspective and the C_MTXLightPerspective functions and patches them to output widescreen. The function names I listed are generic GameCube/Wii SDK Perspective Projection Matrix generators using FOV, Aspect Ratio, Height, and Z-Far Plane.

It is not exactly clear because you can't add Gecko codes in the interface like you can do with AR codes.

You have to right click on a game and select "properties", then click on "open game ini".  This will open the user controlled ini file, which overwrites the general dolphin and gfx ini files, as well as the built-in ini file for that game.

Type the following:
[Gecko]
Just below, type the code you want to use making sure there is a header line that begins with "$" as in the example below:
[color=black]$16:9 Widescreen (Region Free)
F6000002 80008180
57A006F7 41820010
387F0000 38800001[/color]

Save the ini file and close it.  You will now see your new Gecko code under the Gecko tab and all you have to do is check the box for it to enable it.  When you check that box, the ini will add these lines:

[GeckoEnabled]
[color=black]$16:9 Widescreen (Region Free)[/color]

I'm sorry if I sound too rude. I already explain you how to add Gecko Codes in the post #762. Thanks to themanuel for explain how to enable Gecko Codes, that complement the instructions that Admentus wrote.
