Admentus the Gecko Code puts the game in Widescreen without the Widescreen Hack enabled in graphics settings.

Hmm, it does not seem to work that way. I still have to set the Widescreen Hack to on and Aspect Ratio to force 16:9 to have the same view as with the AR code.
Not using force 16:9 will result in a 4:3 format and using force 16:9 will result in a stretched image and less field of view without the widescreen hack.
I tried using the code as Gecko and later as AR. I am using the NTSC-U, NAAE01, Virtual Console version of Super Mario 64.

Enable 4:3 in Wii Aspect Ratio Settings.

Your first Super Mario 64 Gecko Code works perfectly with some testing, no issues, except in the file select menu where text is overlapping (which was also with the AR code).
Your second Super Mario 64 Gecko Code has a proper file select menu without overlapping text, Works good except for the skybox which seems to be culled.
Tested with the 16:9 version code. Only Aspect Ratio Force to 16:9 was needed and no Widescreen hack.
