I've noticed the Gecko widescreen codes for Skies of Arcadia break any cutscenes with overlays. Plus the widescreen camera gets squished for some reason.

Hi, I'm new to the forum.
I'm used to get things by myself, but on this I'm sort of stuk.
I being able to emulate some VC titles on dolphin as usual, he shortes example DKC2. Now that I have achieved full quality with ishirikas scalling help, was able to bypass the dual-core glitch in relation to the EFB, meaning able to play with xbrz and stuff without artifacts.
Now I'm really wondering if, by any means, could I sort of hack ar code or wherever to output the image from behing the black bars, and I would like to know if I, by any means, would be able to force the dolphin/ishirika to display 21:9 as an option.
You see Im emulating at max internal resolution and trough VSR on my catalist I'm able to use 2560X, But while I'm satisfacted with 4:3 analog + (crop) that seems to be the perfect 8:7, wonder if is possible to hack the rom to display extra horizontal contend, and or, by any menas, force the program to allow 21:9 s I can crop and stuff...
Those are my results so far:
To look like the secund picture "streetched" but with the aspect ratio of the first one 4:3 analog crop. Since theres no way to zoom in without loosing height output, the only option I'd take is to somehow hack an code to output the image behind the blackbars, or force an 21:9 aspectratio and let crop do the rest.

 Thanks...

For 2D Virtual Console games, this isn't possible.

It may be. I'm not sure this works out, but...

Force the Wii to render in 4:3 mode via Config\Wii\Aspect Ratio\4:3
Force the Graphics plug-in to stretch to window via Graphics\Aspect Ratio\Stretch to Window

There may be a few other settings that impact things, but those should be non-default. In any case, I think that should render Wii titles stretched 4:3 > 16:9.

You can stretch the image just fine, but you can't make the game render a wider image.

Thanks, I had something in mind as "Anamorphic widescreen" as Redream has for dreamcast codes. I trully believe it to be relative simple, of couse many tittles would have artifacts that should not apear but only temporary for each screen.
I have a large collection of cartidges so I'm able to emulate basically any 8-16bit games on dolphin, and so far I have to say is the only emulator that upscale the internal resolution, thoug I'm not abe to share any of the roms, I wondering how I could possible achieve that, and I'm to old and bussy to try hack them myself.
Tough about something as cheat engine as trirth partie program, but not even close to where head with.
There is a lot of games that would benefit for it, heard that gameboy advanced ad such similar feature but not what I was looking for.

Dolphin/ishirika with modern scaling and upscaling.

The graphics are not even the thing but it somehow take advantage of the enchanced Vsynch to a point that the same 60fps output feels very liquid, thou 21:9 + crop would be something very close to full panel.
My tv is plasma lg hdmi semi hd 720p.
Max resolution 1600X900 though VSR can easly output 2560X, which I believe is equivalent to a 21:9 monitor, now how to simple force dolphin/Ishirika to let me select the option on aspect ratio I have no Idea.
I'll be linking a temporary video that I uploaded in max quality for sample, I hopping 21:9 is somehow avaliable for my scenario so I can try to crop it.

You can do it with 3D games, just not with 2D Virtual Console games. The emulated systems are just not built in such a way that the data you need exists.

This too is only possible for 3D games, not 2D Virtual Console games.

But for internal resolution is quite evident that upscale to 4k does improve the quality imagi in chrono trigger for example.
Should be the same as 720 with Antiallias but seems superior + xbrz + forced filtering results in the perfect image output without posterizing anything.

One question remains then, since is nor possible to enable dolphin/ishiruka to let me select 21:9, the only question I have, why texture upscaling "hybrid" creates so much slowdown?  The xzbr is very similar but a little bit too blending.
The hybrid+bicubic is just perfect but also too demanding, wonder why?
Is somehow related with bad or duplicated code lines?
Or should I flash my GPU in order to set the perf 0 clock (300mhz) so it wont be detected in that way? Seems that my task manager indicates that for some reason win10 the dolphing/ishirka is not rising the gpu clock/memory... R9 270

I could not find them in your list on page 1. 007:agent under fire, 007 (USA) 007 Nightfire (USA) Golden eye: rouge agent (Europe) The legend of Zelda Ocarina of time master quest (Europe) also is it just a case of addind a geko code in dolphin..or do I have to edit the actuall ISO of the game aswel? very new to this but would like to play these games glitch free if possible.
