Delroth, the creator of the previous Dolphin benchmark, has put together a newer benchmark that is more comparable to real-world performance in Dolphin.  With the release of Dolphin 5.0 and Delroth's blessing, I figured that now was an appropriate time to put together a new Dolphin Benchmark thread - but this time, taking a page from Overclock.net's Cinebench 15 benchmark thread, the results are completely automatically updated!

----------------

[Windows] Link to benchmark - simply run the EXE, open the newly-created folder, and double-click "Run Benchmark":

[Mac and Linux] Here are the according configuration files and the actual benchmark file (luabench.dol):

NOTE!: Ignore the error [string ''IUB ambiguity codes''] while running the benchmark - this is NORMAL!

There are many scripts that run, which one do you submit exactly? There is meteor-contest, n-body, pi-digits, spectral norm, etc...
Edit: Overall time seems to be 590 seconds here or 9min and 50 sec. Your submitted results are probably wrong.

There are a few problems with this.

1. 5.0 is not out yet, the first (of many) release candidates is out. How is now an appropriate time? Why didn't you wait for 5.0 to be released?

2. You didn't have delroth's blessing.

3. You didn't even get the time right in your own results! It's one of the partial times.

If you want to be involved in the official benchmark that will come after 5.0, please talk to the developers! But this is hardly the time or place for a benchmark, unofficial or no. So I'm closing this thread. EDIT: Added the unofficial tag.

To everyone else wanting to jump the gun on benchmarks: don't! 5.0 will come when it comes, be patient! And use your energy to help bugtest 5.0's release candidates. Big Grin
