Dolphin is undergoing large rewrites in parts of the code Tino also extensively modifies, forcing Tino to basically rewrite most of his stuff.

Hi Tino et al, I got redirected from my own support thread to this one. I am trying to get PM working on Ishiiruka Dolphin. I am following this guide on Anther's Ladder: https://www.smashladder.com/guides/view/...y-v4-guide
Brawl and other Wii games work just fine, but when I launch PM I get met with the following error: Invalid read from 0x0000000c, PC = 0x80e506b0 The program then hangs until I kill the process. I followed all of the steps in the guide: I made Brawl the default ISO, I checked 'insert SD card', I set the SD card path to the Netplay PM build .raw file. I think I know what went wrong here: the netplay guide says "Open up the root of your Dolphin (app) directory. You should see folders labeled: Sys, User, etc. Merge the "Sys" and "User" folders from the directory above into this directory. " I don't know what the root directory refers to in this case. I have an Ishiiruka directory in ~/.local/shared, and I also have one where I compiled the program. Similarly, there is a 'Sys' directory in ~/programs/Ishiiruka/Data/Sys, but there are ALSO 'sys' directories at ~/.local/share/ishiiruka/Wii/sys, ~/.local/share/ishiiruka/Wii/shared2/sys, and ~/programs/Ishiiruka/Data/Sys/Wii/sys. So where do I put this new 'Sys' directory? And there is no Ishiiruka 'User' directory to copy into anywhere that I can see. Help would be much appreciated, thank you. 03-12-2018, 10:03 AM
updated latest folder with new versions, change the way custom textures, now isposible to use a normal color texture, material map, and a emissive map to simulate light emiting materials, just create a .lum texture in the same size and format of the color teture and add it to the texture folder. Also updated the stable version (5.0 core based) with the latest changes including ubershaders for theose who have problems in thelatest version in some games, like sound problems in resident evil.
feedback is welcome. Enjoy 03-12-2018, 06:12 PM
Interesting!
And can I use .lum texture for simulating light without the .mat texture? The color texture is the default custom texture, is that correct? Thanks..

Tino: I have a recommendation, if you're using the older build for Resident Evil's audio, you may wanna disable the heuristic on all other games. It's known to break quite a few other titles that trick the heuristic into enabling.
I know they're not nearly as popular as Resident Evil, but, there was a reason we killed that hack outside of just breaking the audio in those games. 03-13-2018, 02:31 AM
@JMC47: yes it will be a nice solution to avoid problems, thanks for the tip.
