Hacks aren't necessarily bad if they achieve good results (EFB to Texture being a prime example), but Dolphin has had to go through a lot of cleanups in the past year to remove old hacks that were causing problems, and the developers are trying to limit that development strategy to avoid the hassle of future cleanups.

Tino the newest version of dolphin is crashing now when using custom textures for me. The game will load if prefetch custom textures is off but no custom things ever load. Also if i turn on prefetch custom textures while in game and then disable and reenable load custom textures to try and get it to work it instantly crashes.

Upon further checking only some of the textures will load.

Hi guys, I seem to be having an issue with Rogue Leader. It runs great but every time I want to blow up the death star the game freezes. I've disabled the HLE hack but still no dice.
