How feasible would it be to implement dumping/loading custom music into games similar to how it's done in the graphics side ?

Dumping/loading music sounds possible via Dolphin, in theory. My dev team has successfully imported custom music, but distorts. We managed to change the menu song 07-13-2015, 01:13 AM

On the normal Dolphin build, enable dumping efb copies. It is a seperate option from texture dumping. Anyways, i think the arrow for the current position is part of that efb copy. So i don't think you could replace it, even if Dolphin would support custom efb copies. 07-13-2015, 01:14 AM
Almost each game has it's own format. In theory, you could replace stream music just by replacing files. But in case you encounter a sample format, it becomes much harder.

Thanks a lot, I'll check it as soon as I can. Yes, these arrows were rendered directly on dumped textures, so at least two dumps are needed to get rid of them.

How far did you guys get ? I managed to import music to replace the main menu and title screen themes but nothing further than that. Some of the options and cutscene music are in the .ast format and can be changed with the use of popular tools used in other areas of Wii/GC hacking. However I found that a lot of the audio files for the game are in a different format (.aw) and couldn't find much on them. The pack is looking killer btw, especially with the use Tino's additional pp effects. The world has been completely transformed. 07-13-2015, 01:55 AM

Speaking of 3d with Ishiiruka: Tino, could I request a side-by-side stereoscopic 3d mode with barrel distortion for use with head mounted displays? I'm thinking this could also be implimented as a shader in Ishiirukafx instead, but that would be the "lazy" solution compared to integrating barrel distortion into the 3d ui
