Thanks for sharing your findings, but using your settings the game stutters and audio is unbearable (crackling all the way; with LLE and HLE es well):

I have a Nvidia GPU now, but my findings were the same using my old AMD HD7950.
Vsync off even further diminishes the smoothness of the fps on my setup. You must have turned Vsync on by default in your default GPU settings (through your Nvidia/AMD configmenu) - so that it's applied anyway (?)
But to keep this on point: the benefit of "limit by audio" is noticeable for me. Your config doesn't offer an alternative (for me) - and I've tried. Therefor I still request the return of "limit by audio"
