it seems you are using an outdated version of the ishiirukafx shader. you should use the latest version that has those issues fixed. if you what to fix that specific file you have to change
this line
fDepthDelta *= 1 - smoothstep(0, GetOption(E_MAX_DEPTH), fDepthDelta);
to
fDepthDelta *= 1.0 - smoothstep(0.0, GetOption(E_MAX_DEPTH), fDepthDelta);

thanks, that did the trick for vulkan but OpenGL doesn't even react to any Ishiiruka shader now.

But for good measure, I deleted shader folder from sys and redownloaded 1081 version over it.

Thanks for your help, finally I can get back to my beautiful depth access Smile

Mate, in Rayman 3 vulkan, Ishiruka shader kills the shadows whenever a depth based shader (ssao, dof) is enabled but the seperate ssao (which includes dof as well) doesn't kill shadows.

have you tryed disabling all other options and only enable ssao, ssao with glow  use to reduce shadows in some cases. havo you tryed other backends?

I can't try any other backend because the d3d already doesn't render character shadows, only OGL and Vulkan do, and OGL doesn't support shaders so I'm stuck with Vulkan.

As for your question, yes I have found the culprit before I made a post about it, it's the depth access and it completely kills the char shadows.

But this game is already having problems, I wouldn't suggest going deep down the code line to address the issue. I'm already happy with separate shaders.

Hi friends,

i have 2 little issues with 2 gamecubve games.

Mortal Kombat Deception: during the game, there are some black lines that continuously move around: https://i.postimg.cc/RFSRHsbZ/Immagine.png
Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance: during the opening, the screen is black. It is only present the sound (music, voices, and so on)

How can i fix them?

Hello! How is progress with the development of a new version that uses changes from master in backends? :> It would be great to also use changes to the wii plug-in (or how it is called ..) Good luck!

P.S I do not know how difficult it is, so maybe I want too much (and too fast) : >

Tino has to put in a massive amount of work to keep up with master's very significant changes that has been happening fairly often in the rendering bits of Dolphin, which is where most of Ishiiruka's changes exist.
