to create the materials you need to use the Ishiiruka texture tool that is published in the 3rd post in this thread. you have in that post a description of the input textures you need.

I tried using the program but it doesn't generate .mat textures all the times when in bulk, I've only been able to generate one .mat texture one at a time. Do I need all the texture types? I have the diffuse texture, .bump texture, .nrm, and .spec texture. I don't know what a .lum would look like so I cannot try to create one. I'm trying to get this effect, will .mat files be able to create this same effect?
https://i.imgur.com/YIYEoSI.png I went through the pack that has this texture on the Magic armor and it's only using a .nrm texture. 05-18-2018, 03:33 AM

When using the tool, and providing the .spec, diffuse, and .nrm texture do they get merged into a .mat texture or are they suppose to be separate. I was trying to get a shield to have the effect but I got two files, a .spec and .mat. I also ask this because that image I showed you with the Magic armor only uses a diffuse and a .nrm texture. I was thinking maybe the creators renamed the .mat to a .nrm or something.

.bump., .nrm and .spec are merged to .mat file, .lum and difuse are copied in the usable folder you should only have (.mat or .nrm not a mix of them), .lum and difuse

Alright, I just did a test for a texture, I got a .mat and the diffuse, I didn't use a bump texture or a .lum texture. I think it's working now, I was using .dds format and I think that's why I was receiving errors.
Are there any other settings to decrease stutter in game with texture packs besides Prefetch Custom Textures and GPU Texture Decoding. I don't think GPU Texture Decoding does anything noticable for me and Prefetch Custom Textures just makes the emulator crash for me.

@Knight45: if you what to use prefectch your ram should be biguer that the texture pack size, the only way to reduce stutering while using texture packs is to use compressed textures or have a lot of ram

Since I have 24 GB of RAM and the pack is above that. I think I may lower some textures from 4k to 2k and maybe remove the mip-mapping or later get some more RAM. 05-19-2018, 07:59 AM
The new windows update version 1803 (OS Build 17134.48) causes Ishiiruka to be promptly deleted. It will assume the regular Dolphin.exe on startup. Something has gone terribly wrong. Please look into this.
