I really want to use the newest Ishiiruka Dolphin because I don't think the version I use, which is old, cannot even load .nrm or .mat files, it doesn't look like they do anything in-game. Which is why I think updating to the latest is the best option for me if I can fix the issue with the texture pack and shader problems. As for tessellation it says something about out-dated GPU, which is strange but I think I won't be using tessellations because from what I've seen it may not give that good of a look for textures.

Go to 4:34 for example of the shaders. Im using the first one he's showing which is the Ultra High Vanilla present.

It looks completely messed up on my screen and I'm not sure why.
for the tessellation issue, shader errors are dumped to the /Documents/Dolphin Emulator/Dump/
please send me all the shaders text files you have there so i can debug the problem.
will try to fetch the textures and shaders andd see if i can fix the issue.
the images you send are from your system, can you point what is wrong?

The screenshots with the shaders looks nothing like it does on the video, not sure if it's only me or the people who made it (Tomoya Twilight Princess devs) false advertised possibly. But it looks like this "sahder" just makes the game brighter and overall ugly compared to vanilla, there isn't much going on. If you click on the video link I sent https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JiaY9WQC5Ek

and go to 4:34 it looks completely different from how my game is, color and pretty much everything else. I know I'm not using the same textures from that video but I don't think that'll make a big impact because in the video the person talks about AO on the grass being projected accurately (something like this) and that effect isn't noticeable on my screenshot with the shader activated. I will try installing the textures used in the video but I don't think it'll make a difference.

There is also the map issue I'm getting on the pictures, its a big black square often.

that can be a difference in the configuration, can you share your gfx config file? and dont forguet the dumped shader so i can fix the tessellation issue

I think maybe I was able to get the shaders to look closer to the video. But there is still that strange issue with the map being a black square, tessellations not working, and the game gives a crash warning if I find arrows, it gives a error message saying the game will crash and some issues happen with the arrow's model, but I don't think the game crashes but the arrow model becomes bugged. It looks like the game is crashing with the texture pack because there are too many textures and maybe Dolphin cant load it? Could too many textures be an issue? When using the older version it loads all the textures fine. From what I see in the Task Manger, Dolphin gets to 4.6 GB and just crashes.

ok you have 2 different problems.
first the compilaton errors in your shaders are cuased by a known bug in the hlsl shader compiler under windows 7, sorry to tell but to fix tesselation you will have to upgrade to windows 10
if not you will have to disable tesselation.
as for the post procesing you need to disable high precision framebuffer, this also should fix the black map issue, tomoya shaders are old and don't take in account that new functionality, also you should disable simulated bump for it too look as it should, simulated bump is only usefull with old packs without materials and with the native textures.
about the texture loading problem, i really cannot reproduce the issue because i didnt find any valid link to download the textures. so is hard to tell what the problem is.

Sad that I would need to update to Windows 10, but it's not a big deal, as long as I can get textures to work properly it's all good. As simulated bumps you mean "Auto Bumps" right? For the texutre loading problem its a bit difficult because I've merged like 4 texture packs and added some of my own work. So there are many files in there such as normal map textures and mip map textures. Should I not use mip mapped textures? Also is the correct normal map extension suppose to be .nrm or .mat?

yes auto bumps is the option, abaut the textures .nrm is an old format, you should use .mat textures only

Alright I will try to rename all .nrm to .mat, what I don't understand is the texture pack used in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JiaY9WQC5Ek

uses .nrm, and I think the normal maps still load, this is why I asked. I will try to lower the amount of files in the pack to see if it'll load the pack fully and report with feedback.

the .nrm will work but they are not complete material, reflection and bumps will be wrong, .nrm alone is still supported but you should not mix .nrm with .mat

So I should not change a .nrm file to .mat, the .nrm files will stay as normal maps and the .mat, the material map file will be used for reflections that I would need to create a special texture for?

Edit: I've figured out how to fix the crash with many textures/many large texture sizes (2k-8k), if anyone has this issue disabling Prefetch Custom Textures fixes that issue, for me at least.
