Just to update it doesn't seem to be with every game, specifically the two games I have that crash on the backend when custom textures are enabled are Mario Galaxy and Mario Galaxy 2.

I don't know why but when I'm trying to play there is huge frame drops and when the frames drop everything slows but I pull up task manager and nothing is above the 50s (yes I pull up task manager in frame dropping areas of the game) and it is not only in one game it is in all of them. Anybody got any fixes or explanations. (Note: everything is normal at above 30 fps and I usually get 25 where it slows and audio gets messed up and in more action packed scenes I get 15fps)

Getting stutters all over the place on both Ishiiruka and Dolphin. I think it's the Shader Compilation issue, but on Ishiiruka, the Async Shader Compilation doesn't help much as the games I try keep on stuttering over and over. When I restart them, they run smoothly until it gets to a point where it didn't reach to yet and will start stuttering again. I'm using the Vulkan and DX12 backends if that's of any help.

I've been using Dolphin 5.0 (Nightly builds) and a friend told me about Ishiiruka I noticed that It has better performance and Graphics Quality then regular Dolphin so I downloaded Ishiiruka version 890 and to my surprise everything ran better and loaded better with no slowdowns or stutters but unfortunately the audio sounded terrible compared to the Dolphin Nightly build that I was previously using Ishiiruka didn't sound like it was using/decoding Dolby Pro Logic II properly and the audio was way quieter and was underlaid with static and crackling. I used the exact same settings that I used with Dolphin so why is the sound worse? Is there a way to fix this? Any assistance or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

(Also I heard that Ishiiruka has a Downsampling filter is it better then Dolphin cause I crank my IR up to 5k and just leave SSAA and MSAA alone/off as they tank my Performance and FPS, and If it's not too much trouble what settings should I use to make everything look and sound the best possible)

Here's my Specs (if needed):

This happens both in dev and stable release.

you can really help me if you track the version where the issue started.

I've tried DX11 and OpenGL, as well. Still causes the same problem. I even went back to default settings using portable.txt, but nothing worked. I still get those annoying stutters even with Async on.

This problem as well with pre-rendered cutscenes:

Heyo,

Just wanted to report, that I grabbed the latest Ishiiruka Build, since I had some spare time to play some Metroid Prime Trilogy again and so far I never had issues with the DX12 backend (and I used it so far, since it had better performance and less issues on my rig compared to other backends), but with the latest build, all seems to run fine (tested only for a minute or 2) in Metroid Prime 1 (from the Trilogy version), except if I open up the Map, the FPS drop from 60 to 45 and the sound gets all stuttery.

This does not happen on the DX11 backend, but the DX11 backend overall has more slowdowns (which you can feel and see, despite the fps counter still saying 60) and more visual shader build-up/pop-in.

Nonetheless, keep up the good work. Still the best Dolphin Build out there Smile

EDIT:

Updated my hardware info on my profile, if it might be of interest to know what kind of hardware im running.
