@tino i give up i can't save the game on "the last story" after loading save state for some reason who knows
i even tried hex editing the save state but just changing the name of the revision in hex with that of the latest build didn't do the trick so i gave up I'm stuck with 775/777 until i finish this game

I'm getting a freeze everytime i start Ishiiruka dolphin (I don't have time even to try starting a game)> I'm using latest 845 but it happens with all versions i tested recently, it does not happen with master
Not sure what causing it since i already restarted a fresh "installation" and still froze when i opened.
My laptop is:
Intel I5 3230m
AMD 8850m (dGPU, already set to dedicated, drivers 16.11.2 IIRC)
8GB Ram
Windows 10 x64 14393.447

There is any type of log that dolphin generates to help? Or anything i can try? I really would like to use Ishiiruka due to it benefits compared to master.

Right after opening dolphin executable the program freezes at game selection screen and doesn't respond anymore, forcing me to close it, i can't open settings or anything like that but i already set to the defaults (new installation) and still nothing so i don't know.
I tried running dolphin using iGPU (intel graphics 4000) but still freezes at opening

Edit: I discovered now that running as administrator does not give me the freeze, my installation folder is at a external harddrive along with portable settings at same folder.

Hi Tino,

in v846 DirectX 9 works fine again (no more rendering a black screen), thanks!  Big Grin

One minor issue:

In v770 I define the video backend in the ini-file of a game and after exiting that game Ishiiruka switches back to the default backend (DirectX 11 is default for me, I load a game with DirectX 9 defined in the ini-file and after finishing that game DirectX 11 is reselected automatically).

In v846 exiting a DirectX 9 game the video backend is not reverted to DirectX 11 which seems wrong to me.

in Dx12 when i terminate a game, and i try to start another game from the list, for a second i see the last frame of the precedent game i was playing, and after this, dolphin crash! Only in dx12 render! This is a bug in a long time....Sad

What I wrote concerning the problem of not resetting video backends is even more severe than I initially thought.

If I enable "Synchronize GPU thread" for example for a single game, start and close it this setting remains intact for any other game I start afterwards causing huge framerate drops. There may be more settings which are not reset to default after starting a game with an individual config file.

This problem is not present in v770 of Ishiiruka.
