I don't know if this has been discussed, but on the latest Ishiiruka I'm having a problem with texture packs. Specifically Hypatia's Wind Waker texture pack. I've done a whole bunch of trouble shooting but, no luck. I am beyond positive that the texture pack is in the right place.

I have it in Users\blahblah\Documents\Dolphin Emulator\load\textures folder.

I tried adding a portable.txt file for ishiiruka which made the whole folder structure, copied over the texture pack to where it should go (and this is for the right version of WW, since it just works in Dolphin). I have tried every graphics plugin in ishiiruka (and of course always made sure custom textures were turned on). I have googled and made a "load" folder with the texture pack in it in my normal user directory (I dont know why but the ishiruuka page implies thats where it goes) but no matter what, it just does not load the texture pack in ishiiruka.

It works in Dolphin 5.0-728 just fine. I also tried an old version of Ishiiruka, (working version says "Ishiiruka-Dolphin 499(5e684d3)") and surprisingly the texture pack worked just fine in that.

So I don't know if something's broken, or if I'm messing something up somehow. But I cant see how I can be messing something up when it works in the other versions of Dolphin/Ishiiruka.

Just checking but, did you name the pack forlder "GZL"?

Yes I did try that. It was originally GZLE01 (which matches my version of the game) but I read somewhere that newer versions of Dolphin want just GZL.

Either way, it still didn't work.

Edit: For the record I tried it with the folder named both just GZL and GZLE01. Neither work in Ishiiruka (but do in dolphin and the old build of Ishiiruka).

@greenteabd: Hypatia's Wind Waker texture pack uses a lot of textures in jpg format and ishiiruka drop support for jpg because is a lossy format. please downlaod a png version of the pack or conver it to dds, as it will give you the same quality of a jpg but a lot more performance.

Actually the latest pack, just posted a few days ago, is all dds (and a few png), and it is now completed. You should download it if you are using the old one. I used Bighead's tool to downscale it because it is 2.6GB.

I just checked and it looks like the version I'm using is all (as far as I can tell) is all dds. I didn't check every single folder because there really are a lot of them, but I checked a big handful of them. I am using the latest version of the pack.

OK, friend.  I don't think the few png's are the problem but nonetheless, give this a try.  I downsized the pack to 4x with Bighead's textures tools, which converts them all to dds in the process.  The quality loss is virtually imperceptible in 1080p and I use it like this because the space in my SSD is limited.

Make sure you run your antivirus first, just in case, and unzip it, of course..

I'm also on Windows 10 so that is certainly not it either.

Perhaps you are trying to preload all the textures into memory and running out of space. That pack is enormous. I'm glad it worked for you.

Now, if I can only figure out why Mario Kart Wii crashes with the latest build...
