ok , bad news i don't test for 5.1 channel suport in your hard so if it crashing then your hard don't support 6 channel output. i tested on both of my machines and they run perfectly.
can you please test if openal causes the same result?

It works with OpenAL. You mean my hardware doesn't support 6 channel output? It does, I have an X-Fi card.

the same here with x -fi titanium. The emu hang in xaudio with pro logic

updated latest folder with a fix for dpl2 decoder on xaudio. thanks to marcos for let mi use his machinne to debug the error

Sorry, I'm not at home the next few days, so I can't test. But I guess if it works for the X-Fi Titanium it'll work for my card as well

It works surely because the bug was LLE related and not sound card vendor related. You and me we had been testing with LLE.
