I have done a video with the framerate status on every build you requested, as i can´t make sony vegas to mantain a solid framerate on rendering, i enabled the framerate display on dolphin, so, here is, sorry for taking so long.

All the versions shown in the video are on te exact same tettings.

Hey meow, I did a lot of testing today between dolphin 5.0 and ishiiruka's latest build. The only game I tested was Skyward Sword. I just wanted to leave my feedback here in case it's helpful, but I mostly want to know why dolphin 5.0 runs this game better under the same parameters.

I used exactly the same parameters in both builds, and tested DX12, DX11, and OGL. I tested by placing save states in the same location (before you get your bird, so you can run around most of skyloft)

I7 4790K
GTX980
16g dd3

MY settings:

FullSreenRes= 1080P
Aspect Ratio: Auto
Checked: Fullscreen, showfps

IR= 4x
AA= 4xSSAA
AF= 16x
Checked: Scaled EFB, Per-Pixel (did not enable phong in isshi), Force texture filtering, Disable fog

Hacks= Default

Advanced= I tested both default textures and HI-res textures from the texture pack sub-forum, Skyward sword hi-res thread. (When using hi-res on both builds I checked "prefetch textures")

DX12&11 with default textures: Dolphin 5 has less frame drops under the parameters stated above. Dolphin 5 almost a perfect 30, ishii= intermittent drops to 28-29~

Dx12 with HI-Res textures: Dolphin 5 Has much better stability with FPS over Ishii. Dolphin 5 drops to 29FPS sometimes, Ishii drops to 27-29 much more often.

In DX11 HI-res , they're both pretty bad, but still dolphin 5 is noticeably better. Ishii again dropping as low as 25FPS intermittently.

OGL was about equal for both for me. Both not doing as well as DX.

My only conclusion is that it has something to do with SSAA. Perhaps it's more intensive in the Ishiiruka build? Not sure, all I know is SSAA with the same parameters works better with dolphin 5.

When I change to MSAA 4x in Ishiiruka it helps, especially with regular textures. However, when using high res textures with MSAA in ishiiruka, it still drops more frames then 5.0 with hi res textures AND SSAA.

Just wanted to post what I've been messing around with today. Thanks.

Hi I'm new to Dolphin so I promise I'm going to come across sounding like an idiot, so I apologize ahead of time. Is there any way to install this particular build on Linux?

For now there is no linux version for this build or even the master 5.0. the only build right now is 4.0.1 that can be downloaded for ubuntu.

Just for information: comparing master 5.0-86 with 5.0-99 I experienced around a 3% speed gain with the latest, so one of the commits in between must have been a very good speed impact...

Is it normal for one shader to make you GPU usage from 20%-24% to 70%+? Also Async Shaders, how do I enable them or does it come enabled? I am also guessing this is because I have a 970.
