sure, sorry.

I tried the latest ishiiruka 652, and also dolphin stable versions x64.
Now I understand better, they run at native resolution no matter the settings I choose

my specs:
windwos 10 x64
i5 2500k
strix 970gtx
8gb ram

There is no problem you need to enable external frame buffer to see the bios animation display correctly.

Tino, small question.

With all the changes that have happened since October 2015, is this (Last Story "Speedhack") still relevant or possible?

quote from "speedhack" thread.

It looks like it should be easy, compare:
https://github.com/Tinob/Ishiiruka/blob/master/Source/Core/VideoBackends/DX11/TextureCache.cpp#L446
https://github.com/Tinob/Ishiiruka/blob/master/Source/Core/VideoBackends/OGL/TextureCache.cpp#L464
https://github.com/Tinob/Ishiiruka/blob/master/Source/Core/VideoBackends/DX9/TextureCache.cpp#L284
with:
https://github.com/mimimi085181/dolphin/commit/a9ea3536c956581b708c46d02f62827ca134d473

Ishiiruka needs 3 changes instead of 2, because it has 3 backends.

PS: It might be that the format is different for some reason. It changed in master from 0 and 6 to 6 and 32 sometime, i don't know exactly when or why.

If you're unfamiliar with what this speedhack does, as far as I understand, it lets users use "EFB to Texture" for the speed boost with exceptions for specific textures (characters) which need "EFB to RAM" to show up (because "EFB to Texture" somehow breaks them).
Having a hard time deciding between:
Ishiiruka@30 fps but with async shader caching (and eye candy for no fps cost)
vs
Speedhack@60fps and shader stutter and no eye candy.
*unlocked average-minimum fps being used as a performance buffer (not absolute lowest framerate) . I don't know how more demanding the game gets, but at that point stutter vs low fps is basically the same--annoying Tongue)

But if it was possible to use the "speedhack" changes with an unsupported Ishiiruka edit I'd have the best of both worlds Big Grin

Can anyone help me with this problem? I am playing Super Mario Galaxy on the latest version of Ishiiruka as of 5-02-16. I cannot run the game smoothly on 60FPS without having Fast EFB access enabled under the hacks tab in the Graphics Configuration. However, when this option is enabled, at least in the first few levels of the game, it causes a lens flare effect in-game to appear through objects such as a house and a tower. I have tried changing every other setting but nothing seems to solve the problem. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

@next-aros: that is a known issue of using fast efb access, is inacurate so can cause problems with pull starts and lens flares.

Seriously great work!
Had to remove the EFB to Texture line from the Game ini to get the Hack to work though.

That's the idea. You need EFBToTextureEnable to be set to True for this hack to be a thing. The point of the hack is to only force EFBtoRAM for the clothes, but leave everything else to be EFBToTexture (as long as EFBToTexture is enabled, else everything will be EFBToRam and will be slow on underpowered systems).

EFBToTexture always breaks the clothes because of their advanced coloring mechanics.

Now that this hack was added I feel my recent computer upgrade investment to be that much less important. I could play The Last Story full speed with EFBToRAM, but I guess that's pointless now. lol.

Just playing around with 655 first time using these builds its very cool runs some games smoother then official Thanks

One bug i found NHL Hitz 2004 GHZE5D using any Texture scaling mode causes the players to have black textured jerseys and if you switch them around the game goes black except a few objects

i have two questions can i set this option to OFF on just this game? and what texture scaling mode are good performance? there are many but i have no clue what they do and how much performance each take.

Thanks
