And it works like a charm *w*

Lost some CPU performance activating Surround sound tho, i guess it isn't possible with HLE?
[FX4350 4.0 Ghz - 4GB DDR3 - AsRock N64c-GS FX - AMD HD7770 1GB] Yup, i'm on the low profile side. If anything, take my feedback as a guide for low end users (º w º)b

The development versions are not working for me with custom textures. They load slowly after the scene is already rendered (and are invisible before that). Not sure if some setting is causing this. Prefetch causes a crash. I have the latest Intel integrated graphics, which runs better than my 2 year old Nvidia laptop card. Full speed at 2x native with AA turned off. The version included with the Victor Rosa texture pack also has other issues, at least with all the special stuff turned on.

Stable version works great.

It has been added already: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-unofficial-ishiiruka-dolphin-custom-version?pid=395193#pid395193

cool will test out some games then Smile

nice speed boost in d3d12 for the rogue squadron games!

still getting missing menu backgrounds in d3d, both 11 & 12 though. menus appear correctly on opengl and on the master build menus appear correctly in d3d.

also efb effects like smoke when flying close to the ground, weapon trails are not working correctly in both d3d mods, even with the efb hacks set off and texture cache set to safe.

With 508(1e14820) and 510(aa37794) I have a problem in Xenoblade Chronicles, where randomly the FPS will go downhill (say from 30 -> 20) and stay bad. It tends to be an even 20 for some reason. But if I reload a save state or restart Dolphin the FPS will be good again. This affects all graphics plugins, but is especially noticeable in OpenGl.

EDIT: My FPS uncapped is ca. 140 (game is 30 FPS).

EDIT 2: By the way, why did the aspect ratio of this game change between the aforementioned versions?

@Tino: I've been rebuilding in a clean container (with the latest changes), and while I don't seem to be having corruption when it starts a game successfully anymore, I'm still having trouble getting it to launch a game… It just crashes after the emulation window shows up. And when it does work, there's still those annoying PanicAlerts (disabling them results in crashes, always).

Then Dolphin is killed by SIGILL (Illegal instruction). Looks like there's some kind of stack corruption. This is with dolphin-emu-nogui (so I could run the same command several times and reproduce the crashes easily). With dolphin-emu (so with the GUI), the signal is a SIGSEGV (segfault), just like before.

@gitaroo: please can you test with the SSAO shader alone to see if is a regresion with ishiirukafx?
@slarlac249: can you give more detail on the issues you see.
@Dolemub42: you will really help me if you can foud the version where that started.
@leolam: I can reproduce the issue, will try to see where is originated, just for confirmation, the same issue happends in master?

Could someone tell me what "Phong Lighting" does to image quality? I've searched the thread, but can't find anything on it.. Only thing I know is that it's somehow related to per-pixel lighting. Which game is a good example of the benefits (a comparison screenshot would be awesome)?

Thanks Smile

And as always: thanks Tino for this amazing version of Dolphin. I absolutely love it!

PS. I just noticed post https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-unofficial-ishiiruka-dolphin-custom-version?pid=395414#pid395414 which has a screenshot of RE wth phong lighting. Looks awesome! But still.. what does it do? And is it recommended to enable it always?

@xystus: phong ligthing is one of the ligthing models used in 3d rendering, what you will see enabling it is an improved specular ligthing on models, it ca cause plastic look in some games so you can always test and enable it where it looks right.
