oh and since everyone is sharing windwaker screenshots. :3
I think im pretty close to wwhd's look, but im having trouble getting the lighting to look legit. Ambient lighting in reshade helps, but it seems to go on top of link as well, which kind of ruins the look. Lighting with post processing is tricky. QQ

I have been happily playing games through my computer as a way to use HD Textures with Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess(GC).
However, I seem to hit a small snag in this program in which I am unable to use the Prefetch option. I currently have 16GB RAM and the texture pack size is only 1.3GB. I am unsure why I crash, as it works with Dolphin-latest. I would like to know if there is anyway for me to narrow down the cause of this issue. @sagaopc: sorry I've been been really busy this day will post a new version soon.
@rlaugh0095: thanks @acters: master use a library named soil to load the textures, and ishiiruka uses libpng, the version i'm using seems to be a little sensitive to some incorrect values on the png headers, will try to update the lib to see if that fixes the issue. 09-24-2015, 12:24 AM

I was getting some terribly unbearable cracking audio last time I tried Ishiiruka a few days ago but weird thing is it's gone now and I have no idea how or why lol. I turned down all of my settings in order to alleviate the load on my CPU and it worked. I slowly upped the graphics and am able to run 3x IR, 2x AA, 4x AF silky smooth using async shader. My goal is to get what everybody is calling the best game in the last 15 years running perfectly before diving in. I tried running ishirukaFX but screen looked like a glitchy blurry mess. Tried running only SSGI enabled but the slowdown is terrible. Guessing my system is just not powerful enough? I want to try adding HD textures today. How much of an impact will that have on performance? Do textures get loaded into onboard ram or videocard ram? Intel Q6600@3Ghz, 4gb ram, Amd 7850 2gb. Is it worth down clocking the emulator's CPU at all? I've seen people mention it. Also when making changes in the settings I alt-f4 the game, make changes and reload the game. Is that how everybody else does it or is there a better way? And lastly, Is it only possible to run async shader using DX11? Are there any plans to incorporate it to OpenGL? I read that OpenGL is supposed to run better with Xenoblade and there are lighting effects which are only possible using the OpenGL backend. Thank you for your time. |
