While playing Metroid Prime 2 on 381 yesterday, the black/missing sky texture came back in the middle of a cut scene.
OS:  Windows 8.1 x64
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 @ 3.2 GHz
GPU: Gigabyte AMD Radeon 6850 1024MB RAM
RAM: 6.5GB @ 800 MHz

Updated the latest folder with a new version, merged latest master, including partial texture updates, but with a little request from my kids. Added support for scaled partial texture updates, so now all can enjoy nsmbw in a full hd glory Smile.

Not only you've finally fixed the extreme flicker and black glitches at higher than natve res, but the texture effects are hi-res as well (the devs said before this was very hard to do, almost impossible).

Congratulations ! Big Grin

This improvement needs a port to master (so it will be merged to 5.0 stable).

hi,
i have just registrated to thank you so much for this build!!!
it make me possible to play tetsunoko vs capcom at full speed without problems.
its great hack, dont make any glitches for me, maybe only minor almost unnoticeable thing, its doing, is to remove 1ms sprite at the start of fight, but this is low price for not stuttering and to play on high res at full speed!!!!!
this hack should be pinned on official website, ive troubled few days how to get right of this stuttering.

Thx for this patch, but could you please split merging master and your own code in different commits? This makes it much easier to pick some of your changes Big Grin

WOW, yes congrats man. The spinning coins are no longer terribly awful looking! They said it could not be done! But it is done.

I have some problems though. The texture pack no longer seems to work well without crashing, but it had seam glitches anyway before.

In this game with my settings on new build the land tiles or textures are all pixelated even with forced aniso on at 1080p and 3xIR. The pipes also have an offset piece on the top half on all of them. Are these just little problems that need fixing or am I doing something wrong?

Don't worry will make a pull request later, make a big dirty commit because i was about to get out for a business trip, will clean it a little when i get a little free time.

This is amazing that these coins are fixed man lol! The only thing that was holding this game back. It's very exciting.

When I use dx9 it is awful of course and things are not smooth coins are blurry, but I can tell that the anisotropic is working on the land it seems. It is definitely not working on the land in dx11 for me. I have it forced and per pixel on. Is there something I am doing wrong or is this just a temp glitch? I have the shader async on as well and yadda yadda. Nothing else out of the ordinary.

Interesting report, please givemi more detail on your configuration because with default settings i can't see the issues. As a side note games that uses tiled textures can't have any forced filters because they break joints in the tile effect
