Hello all,

Here is my config :
Intel Q9650@3,2 Mhz, 4Go RAM, Nvidia 560 Ti (motherboard = P5Qpro)

In reference to the start instructions :
  • Full Async Shader = No slowdowns caused by shaders compilation . -> Requeriments: Low CPU (Possibles Glitches)
  • Predictive FIFO + Full Async Shader = Less slowdowns caused by shaders compilation. -> Requeriments: High CPU depending of the game. (Reduce Possibles Glitches)
  • Predictive FIFO = Less slowdowns caused by shaders compilation. -> Requeriments: High CPU depending on the game. (No Glitches)
  • Predictive FIFO + Wait for Shader =
May i consider my computer as "Low CPU" and just select Full Async Shader or try with the other options ?
What is a High CPU for you ?

In the audio options witch backend should i select : Directsound, Xaudio 2 or OpenAL ?

Thanks for the advice,

for your configuration my selection would be Full async Shader alone for maximun performance. xaudio seems to be the best choise to minimize latency.

Ok thanks for the advice.

One other question : i haven't totaly understand the meaning of the "time streching" option in audio.
Does it impact performance ?

time stretshing changes sound speed to mimic the emulator speed, that avoids cracling and noise artifacts caused by the variation on the emulation speed, it consumes more cpu but normaly the performace impact is minimun.

Found easily reproduce-able bug in latest build. Going in game (I'm using Melee) closing it and then changing the video renderer from Direct X 11 to Direct X 9 or OpenGL makes audio play only on the right side until the emulator restarts. Using all default sound settings.

Not sure if it happens on the master build but some people in the last page of this thread say no so I will take their word for it.

Here are my settings (Anything that has a checkbox next to it but isn't mentioned is not checked)
General:
Dual Core
Idle Skipping
JIT Recompiler

Audio:
DSP HLE
XAudio2
Latency 2

Video
Backend: Direct3D11
Adapter: ATI Radeon HD 3400 Series (overclocked it runs fine.)
Resolution: Auto
Aspect Ratio: Auto

Hide Mouse Cursor
Render to Main Window

Internal Resolution: 1x Native
Anisotropic Filtering: 1x

Scaled EFB Copy

Skip EFB Access from CPU
Ignore Format Changes
Store EFB copies to Texture Only

Texture Cache Fast

External Frame Buffer Disabled

Bounding Box CPU

Fast Depth Calculation
Predictive FIFO
Wait for Shader Compilation

Borderless Fullscreen

Steps to produce error:
1. Launch Melee with Direct3D11
2. Close game.
3. Change Backend to Direct3D9
4. Launch game.
5. Sound plays only on right side.

Most noticeable with headphones.

I hope this can be fixed soon Big Grin
