Hm, I don't know about this. I mean, this is interesting and will make EFB2RAM faster but Ishiiruka is more than just an EFB2RAM-hack or something.

I wanted to inform you of a bug that appeared between version 229 and 239 on BDZ Budokai Tenkashi 2 and 3 (on OpenGL, Direct3D is currently bugged but it's the same on master). During the fights, all the backgounds are messed up, now there is only a white texture (only the ground is visible and normal, rest is flat and white). On version 229 everything was ok.

can you give more detail on your configuration because i cannot reproduce the white texture problem

In fact when I say white, I tried again it's more like ultra bright backgrounds.

I have NTSC versions of the games, and

on v229 :

on v239:

My dolphin settings :

uploaded a new version, problems in dx11 and dx9 backend in dragon ball are fixed when using fast depth.
the white back problems is still there but you can fix it with efb to ram while efb to texture is fixed.

Thanks Tino for the recommendations about DBZ, it's working nice now with EFB to RAM with the new Ishiiruka version. I will wait for a fix for EFB to Texture Smile

What I wanted to say was this "hybrid EFB2RAM mode" is very effective. It provides a decent speedup (+20%) in some of the more demanding titles.

Ishiiruka has lost some of its performance advantage by merging commits from master that slow things down (or provide a very small boost), and not merging the ones that provide a decent speedup. EFB2RAM, MMU and vertex proessing are now a good deal slower than before.

This PR has the potential to restore some of that lost performance (if merged).
NOTE: Do not merge this PR now, since it has a bug which doesn't upscale textures (downgrades the quality) at high IRs.

Now on version 242 Dolphin crashes each time I close a game while using DX11 backend (with Escape button on Keyboard). It seems to be good on DX9.
