Apparently the syntax has changed? I was trying to get Mario Kart GP2 running on 4.0-593 (also tried on many 4.0+ revisions), which needs a certain GGPE02.ini file, this one:
Quote:# GGPE02 - Mario Kart GP2 If you use this *ini on 4.0, edit using the GUI or start the game, and then check the file again, all you see is this: Quote:[Display] It would not save any patches/cheats whatsoever. After a while, I thought it might be related to syntax and tried something out of the blue, and it did indeed save the cheats now. This is what the file looks like after the changes: Quote:[Display] What I think happened here is it deleted every line it couldn't read, and replaced others for newer syntax ( Widescreen = 0 --> Widescreen = False )? If so, what's the newest syntax? How can I update the ini? The original ini file works fine on Dolphin-triforce-3.0-698-x64. Also, is it possible to configure things like these on a per game basis? Quote:[Gamecube] MKGP2 being the only game that uses the AM-Baseboard configuration is a hassle. Thanks! edit: I see on a previous post that Ports can be configured, that's great! Is the same true for memory card slots and SP1? 01-07-2014, 07:06 AM
Your questions apart from cheats and memory patches that you found out the way they work eventually, can be answered if you read the initial post of this thread. Memory cards and SP1 can't be set per game.
From the ini file you posted progressive scan does nothing in the newest revisions (can't be set per game). 01-07-2014, 10:48 PM

Memory cards and SP1 can't be set per game.Well, I looked on the first post, but besides the Projectionhack option I didn't find any of the options in [Video]. The thing is, it's no longer giving me any kind of errors (ed000000 and the like were the ones I got when I didn't know how to add the cheats), but the screen is black and the fps count is 0, so something from the original ini didn't translate correctly into the new version. The PH_SZNear and similar options seem weird to me, because if the PH is set to 0, what does it matter its configuration? But the only thing that's different are the [Video] settings and the way to write the cheats. If I understood correctly, previously you'd add a plus sign (+) before the $line for the cheat, now they go below [OnFrame_Enabled]? Thanks for the help. 01-17-2014, 10:57 PM

Updated first post by adding frameskipping in the list after the recent addition by Rachel.
