So how precisely do I use a specified controller for each game? If I understand correctly I need to make an INI based off of a game's ID, then place the INI in %UserProfile%\Documents\Dolphin Emulator\GameSettings\ and add the following to it's contents:

[Controls]
WiimoteProfile1 = Sideways1 => %ProfileName%.ini

This doesn't seem to work. What other parameters can be used in place of "Sideways1 =>"? I have also tried only declaring the INI like so:

[Controls]
WiimoteProfile1 = %ProfileName%.ini

What am I missing here?

Ditch the .ini part just use the name of the saved configuration profile you made in dolphin controller configuration settings.

I was wondering if there is a simpler way to define controller binds by integrating them into a game configuration directly. Is this possible? I have been experimenting with various combinations of definitions and settings and I can't seem to get it to work. It would be a tad silly if the only option is to point a game configuration to a controller profile as the only means of a per-title controller boot. Here are some of the parameters I've been throwing together to achieve this:

[Controls]
WiimoteProfile1
(Binds here)

[Controls]
WiimoteSource0 = 1
(Binds here)

[Profile]
WiimoteProfile1
(Binds here)

[Profile]
WiimoteSource0 = 1
(Binds here)

Those are just a few examples. I really feel like this can be done, but nothing I've tried works. Could you help me out with this?

Nope you have to use a saved controller profile, you can't input them directly to the gameini as far as i know. And i believe it is easier this way instead of typing the controls for every single button manually.

Bummer. It was worth looking into I suppose, I hope this can be added as an option in the future. I was hoping to do this mainly to clean up my settings folder. Thanks for your response.

I don't remember if it's possible in 5.0, but it's possible in the latest development versions, with the following syntax:

[Video_Settings]
CacheHiresTextures = True (or False)
