Seems it is try: [Video_Hacks] VertexRounding = False (or true to disable it and enable it respectively). Tried it with shadow the hedgehog and seems to work, i will update the initial post about it. 08-29-2017, 01:32 AM
Heya! I just now started tampering with the Gecko codes to get the Widescreen Fix for Zelda Collector's Edition and MGS: Twin Snakes. But after adding the codes to the .ini file (Properties -> Edit Config), somehow my every other setting seem to get overridden. I can't change the internal resolution anymore etc. I enabled the widescreen code + cheats from the settings and that worked just fine. But now everything else I try to change in the settings seem to have no effect.
Is the first post's list something I should be adding in the "Edit Config" section as well? Any Gecko code overrides the whole Dolphin setup? These are the messages I get with Wind Waker: Note: Option "FastDepthCalc" is overridden by game ini. Note: Option "EFBScale" is overridden by game ini. EDIT: Stupid n00b me! I found out that RealXFB was the problem (forces native internal resolution). I don't know why I enabled it in the first place. Probably because it was recommended in a guide somewhere. Going to play with 3x Native for now... but feel free to help out if you know I'll run into issues without RealXFB at some point? 09-24-2017, 04:38 AM

Are there any plans to add a GUI to do all of this? The way RPCS3 does it is really handy, if you have used that before.

I don't think so, because the developers don't want to encourage people to use advanced options without really knowing what they do. There would be way more erroneous bug reports on the forum from people who checked lots of extra boxes and broke Dolphin if these options were easy to access. Requiring you to modify configuration files manually creates a higher access barrier that prevents at least some people from applying options they shouldn't be using.

What if a specific region of a game is not included in the ini for that game? Can one simply manually edit the game's ini to include the gameid?

If the name of the INI only is three characters long (for instance RSB.ini), it already covers all regions. The lines that start with # are just comments – Dolphin completely ignores them. |
