It is very painful to have so many files (with crypting filenames) and different bunch of settings that some are considered default, and some local, (whatever that means), not to say those that are outdated, deprecated or even with shared sections (SyncGPU belonging to [CORE]).
"Anisotropic working" means it does work but it won't be reflected on the graphics setting?
What about
[Video_Hacks]
EFBAccessEnable = False
It isn't reflected on the graphics settings either, as the backend does... My concern is not about changing settings "on the fly", but rather reflecting them.

Please, elaborate further because current behaviour is very very confusing.

Gameinis shouldn't affect the general settings, and in order to do so they don't show up in the graphic settings gui. That is because a lot of graphic settings can be changed on the fly. General settings cannot be changed on the fly and therefore there is no issue just to display them in the gui in a per game running basis without the capability to change them. For example the control settings that can also be changed on the fly have an issue with dolphin and gameinis, if you set a specific control profile and just open and close the key configuration while running the said game, the per game profile you loaded will also become your general profile. Something similar would happen with graphic settings too, if they didn't revert to the general settings when you open the window, afterwards just by closing it your per game settings would become the new general settings. It is just that on the fly settings change is too important to drop just for gameinis, and therefore things became complicated.

To simplify the above if no settings were configurable while a game is running there would be no such issue between general and per game settings. Things would be a lot more simple but the lack of configuration ability while ingame is not desirable either.

You mean Gameinis shouldn't affect global defaults? Why would them? it is a per-game ini.
Problem is to put an example, a per-game change on the backend does show in the graphic GUI, while an EFBaccess2CPU doesn't. This is a strange behaviour. If what you mean is that one is a "changeable" setting while the other isn't, well, isn't that the work of "greying out" settings?

It's fine you can change graphics "on the fly", but how are you going to change a graphic setting if you don't know what is currently being applied (without going through the hassle of looking for non self-explanatory filenames.ini)? It's not that you are unable to show current settings and being able to change them at the same time *confused*

Another reason is you don't have a feedback of what you declared on the gameinis is correct/working, due to deprecated naming conventions, outdated ones or maybe simply a mistype.
Quote:"if you set a specific control profile and just open and close the key configuration while running the said game, the per game profile you loaded will also become your general profile. Something similar would happen with graphic settings too"

So the double gameini idea is to circumvent a bug of some sorts? Why would general settings change when a gameini is on-load? Makes no sense, I change general settings ONLY when no game is loaded ... I don't know what is the popular (development) stance of this, I would like to call it a bug but it sounds easily fixable so probably choice by design...?

You don't seem to understand the problem judging by your answers Undecided. It's more of a limitation of what you can or can't do than a bug. Since the issue is complicated every suggested alternative was complicated too and with it's own issues.

That sounds very derogatory my friend, there's no need to judge people intelligence here, it's supposed to be a technical discussion just until this last post of yours. I did my best trying to explain the issues, if instead of answer them you want to take the discussion onto a personal attack I will stop here.

Stop here then because that was 100% derogatory personal attack...

To be frank even the hint that i did that pisses me off, and i don't want to continue this discussion either. You are not the first easily offended either, so much so that i am inclined to not give a single answer to anyone after such repeated occurrences in the future. You and everyone else in the same category as you can find the answers on your own since you are all so smart and easily offended by idiots as myself.

You are unlucky, after repeated occurrences of the above i won't be helping people any further than this thread already does. Thank Dogway or ask him to solve your issues, he knows better than anyone else in here.

How are you editing? Straight into the .ini files, or by right clicking on a game>Properties>Edit Config (which is the way you should be). Also, did you make sure to save?
