Hi Anthe i'm currently learning java and i would like to try to help with the development/testing of the program. I want to try developing with others as well as working on a full scale project. I also have a (semi) gaming rig (radeon 7770 and i5 quad core) to test out the program's results in dolphin. I am really interested in this and would appreciate it if you would take me up on the offer.

Good to hear there is still some progress; Dolphiilution will be a handy program. Now New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Mario Kart Wii do have some iso patches but I still did not get a chance to play Super Mario Galaxy 2.5, plus the fact that people who are creating new levels will be able to test their levels more quickly, no need to patch and no SD card stuff.

Yet I don't know anything about Java or programming so I can't help there if you needed any help; but if you need someone to test it on Windows... I'm running Windows 8.1; don't know if that makes any difference; Intel Core i5 2.6-3.2 Ghz; Nvidia Geforce 710M; 6 GB of RAM. Just give me a download link and I'll get started. Smile

If you all want to contribute to the project I can set up a GitHub project if you want. I can develop the C# version (I'm better at doing stuff in C#) and someone else can do the Java one on Linux to make sure it is working (I reallydon't like Java).

Hi,

I've been checking back to see if Dolphiilution has been released for a while now, and if you put the project up on GitHub, I would appreciate it even though I'm not a coder, I wanted to try this out and I would compile it if I had to.

Thank you!

You can use MonoDevelop for cross platform programming. Pretty much all the things from VS are there.

Nonetheless, I have summer break, so..

Couldn't you take your patches iso's and make compressed wbfs files out of them to gain back most of the disk space?

At least that is what I have all my wii games in since I was lacking space when I was grabbing them from the discs. IT helps to bring a bunch of games from 4gb down to less then 2gb some even less then 500mb.

I know how dol patching works, and many hacks require it to be done.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii hacks need to be patched so that you don't get a black screen when you go to World 5, it's probably something that Nintendo did to try to prevent level editing from happening, I can show you what it needs later.
So, in the XML, where it says memory offset=, the part in quotes is an offset in hex to get a value. Then value=, the part in quotes is the value the hack replaces from original=, where the part in quotes is what the value was originally.
So it just replaces values in hex, not all hacks have it.

Sources are now available in the OP. When you've made some changes, contact me (and please explain/gimme a download so I can see if you didn't break anything) and I'll give you access to push it to the repository.
@Topken: The patch is not an ISO. It is just a folder structure Smile
Also, I completely forgot: this is (in theory, I haven't tested it) completely compatible with Gamecube games 0.o

Some parts of the source look horrible in my eyes (at least the C# stuff). As long as you understand your own code Big Grin
