I am running Dolphin 4.0-9059, not sure how to tell if it's x86 or x64. My operating system is Windows 8.1.
I have been struggling for 2 days now to set this up and to be honest I'm about to give up.
When I open Dolphin I click on "Controllers">"Configure" Under Device I select "XInput/0/Gamepad", this selects the xbox 360 controller.
However, the main stick remains greyed out and none of the buttons respond when pressed.
Dolphin recognizes the controllers I have plugged in but when I select them under device nothing happens.
I can't interact with the controllers in anyway.
I have-
- Uninstalled/reinstalled dolphin.
- Tried both the Wii U and PC setting of the switch on the Mayflash adapter
- Uninstalled/reinstalled both the Standard Mayflash drivers (available on their website http://www.mayflash.com/support/download/ I selected Download W012 compatible with XP/Vista and Windows 7/8/10 ,32 bit and 64 bit) for the PC side of the switch and the Zadig WUP-028 Drivers for Wii U side of the switch.
- Tried different GC controllers.
- Tried using my Xbox 360 with USB adapter. Same result as GC controller.
- Followed all the steps in this video- https://youtu.be/gYk-21aN4ig
- Updated Windows via Windows Update
- It may be because I deleted a driver called "USB Controllers" under "Human Interface Devices" in Device Manager (as chronicled in this post- https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/com...ver_mouse/)
I was unable to use my mouse for awhile but when I restarted my computer it was working again I'm unsure how this driver has affected my computer or where I can go to re-download it.
This problem has proved to be immensely technical and one would need knowledge of both Dolphin and Windows to be able to fix it.
It's almost been three days I just want to practice my tek-skill.... ;C
**EDIT:** I think I have found a clue as to what is going on here. If I reinstall the driver I am prompted to restart my computer. When I engage the restart my PC turns off. When it turns on again, it freezes on my motherboard's boot screen. I can turn my computer on and off, but it will stay stuck at the boot screen when starting up. If I remove the Mayflash, however, the computer starts up normally. Every time I restart after installing the drivers I have needed to unplug the Mayflash in order to turn my computer on. Could it be possible that the Mayflash drivers haven't been updating correctly because of what happens when restarting the computer? I don't know, the Mayflash is such garbage. I can't get any support from their website. Either way it doesn't explain why Dolphin won't recognize my Xbox 360 controller.
Here is a picture of what I see in the Controller Configuration screen (notice how I have the appropriate controller selected, but all buttons and sticks are unresponsive and greyed out)- http://imgur.com/dadan8g
