Can't sync it to my computer with the bluetooth dongle listed below..

Methods attempted
- Simply using the installation disc and installing the driver. Afterwards holding down the sync button so the adapter can detect it and let it connect. Shows no led lights even when pressing buttons or sync button (basically dead) when it says it is "connected".
--Tried toshiba bluetooth stack.. had no idea how to use it cause it said something about "plugin bluetooth adapter to install" and i did only to find out it just repeatedly pops up saying the same thing after 30 second intervals.
---Tried WiiPair and said "a device attached to the system is not functioning" and when it sometimes connected.. did the same thing as the first method tried above.
Any help would be much appreciated and links are preferable. Thank you for your time
