Hello, I am trying to pair a Nintendo Wii Motion Plus controller with my Windows machine. So far nothing seems to work, the controller is not fake.

Basically all I do is:
1) I press 1+2 or the red button (it doesn't work either way)
2) I add the device via Bluetooth manager.
3) I go to dolphin, set controls to real wii controller
4) I make sure dolphin sees it.
5) I start the game, and nothing happens.

I tried pressing the pair up button on dolphin, but it doesn't do anything once the device is paired up. If I do it before, it just tells me that there's a driver error.

When I start the game the controller doesn't do anything, it doesn't respond to buttons being pressed or anything. It doesn't vibrate or anything that its supposed do normally when its paired up.

I changed the batteries, to make sure its not the source of the problem.

I am pretty sure I read all similar threads, but I couldn't find the help I need. Hope you guys help me out, I just bought the controller, hope its not busted.

EDIT: I checked the supported hardware list, the official controller with M+ is fully supported on later version of dolphin, so now I'm really lost.

My specs are:
Q6600
8800 GTS
4 Gigs of RAM
Software are:
Dolphin 3.0-758-dirty 64 bit (also tried -755-)

Your step-by-step is a little different so let me give you mine. There's shouldn't be a need to re-add the device once it's present in "Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers\Bluetooth Devices", if it listed there for you?

1) Hold 1+2
2) Press "Pair up"
3) You should get "Installing device driver"
4) Once it's ready hit 'refresh' on Dolphin and the wiimote will shake
5) If the lights stop blinking before it readies press them again

Yes, I tried doing that later, out of 4 tries it pairs up once.

However the problem remains the same, while Dolphin sees the remote, remote acts completely dead. Buttons dont respond, nor do I get any vibrations.

After I press refresh, it says that it has 1 connected remote, but no shaking. I tried pressing Alt+5 while in game, but it didnt help, just says that the remote was connected.

I am having the exact same problem. It shows that one wiimote is connected, but it simply doesn't work. Even though it stays connected......

EDIT: Fixed the problem. I guess it doesnt work yet with wii motion plus. Used regular controller and bingo Big Grin

I use to have annoying problems with Windows because of Windows Update. If Windows Update is enabled, Windows will automatically search the internet for drivers for whatever device you have connected. This doesn't really work with Wiimotes, though, since there is no driver for it that Microsoft can find, so it just wastes time, which often times causes the Wiimote to disconnect before it can be connected to the computer completely. There are two ways to solve this:

1. Disable Automatic Update
2. Disable Automatic Driver Update

Doing one of these two things may help, but I'm not entirely sure because you may have a different problem.
Desktop:
OS: Windows 7 64 bit
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K @ 4.4 GHz
GPU: EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Factory OC'ed)
RAM: 16 GB @ 1600 MHz
Dolphin Revision:3.0, 3.0-784, 3.5, latest 3.5

This is what alway work for me:
-real wiimote
-press "Pair Up" button
-press 1+2 once per second continuously (0.75 sec press, 0.25 sec release and repeat per second, you know the rhythm)
-move the window til it's back from being hang (inability to move = is hang)
-immediately press "Pair Up" once again - if it's really hanging (fading out) then Windows shoud notify you Dolphin is installing the drivers for your Wiimote - if you're able to press "Pair Up" button at that time, then you should go back to last step and repeat until it finally fade out and Windows start to notify you something.
-stop mashing 1+2 and check if Wiimote vibrates and leds stopped blinking - if it still blinking, press "Refresh" button ASAP

I happened to have this habit and it never go fail on me.

Like I said, nothing happens. It's in the devices, it's recognized by Dolphin, but it acts dead. Once driver installation is over, no lights go on, even when pressed, nothing vibrates. When a game is launched it doesnt do anything.

Naturally, it goes back to unsynced mode when its removed from the devices.

Also, sometimes it won't stop blinking, but what you said (pressing refresh) doesnt do anything. The only way to stop it is to remove it from devices.

Does it show up as rvl-ctr-001 or rvl-ctr-001-TR? If it is the TR model, then it may be better to use the Toshiba stack. There's a thread here somewhere which has clear instructions of how to do everything right up until you are in game, so search for that. It was started by Admin89 if that helps your search.
OS: Windows 10 64 bit Professional
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900X
RAM: 16GB
GPU: Radeon Vega 56
