Unable to Emulate Any Game in Ubuntu 8.04 32-bit

Hi guys,

I've been compiling from source on Ubuntu 8.04 32-bit. While Dolphin itself runs without issue, I've never been able to emulate a Wii game (don't have a GC, so no games to test). Any game I've tried (e.g. Legend of Sayuki) throws up a black window (some yellow text appears briefly - no errors in there), then crashes Dolphin with a C9999 error.

I'm having trouble finding a resolution reading the forums / google code page. Is it merely that this is not working on linux at the moment?

hardware:
amd X2 6000+ (@ 3.1 ghz)
2 x 2GB 800mhz
onboard nvidia 8200 w/ 512mb dedicated

Build 2745-fastlog gives me the following error when trying to load (though it doesn't crash, just won't load the game):
Error loading Plugins/libPlugin_Wiimote.so: can't read info

I upgraded my SVN build to 2910, but it's still displaying the same behaviour as before.

I have the same problem on Kubuntu 8.10, ATI Radeon HD 3870x2. I have a problem with compiling the latest revision, but on R2962 it was so.
It is interesting, that a windows version runs on wine fine, but slowly.
