I decided to play some Melee today, and thanks to my crappy desktop (which the specs maybe awful for the emulator), it lags like a bitch. But the thing that really baffles me is the trophies. When I look at a trophy in the menu, it's average frame rate is 30 frames per second. Now once you go in the trophy, it goes to full speed, or 60 frames per second. Is there any reason why this happens?  Huh

No, that's not the problem. vsync was off the entire time.

That scene is too demanding for your CPU to handle. I suffer lag in that same scene (until I choose one of the trophies). Of course, I don´t know if it also happens when you have only a few trophies instead of all of them.
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.

Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

Well, yes, that makes sense considering my CPU is a literal potato (AKA Pentium 4 at 3.1 gH). But the worst part is if I were to get a better processor to prevent this, like my CPU is planted into my motherboard and there is no way to replace it than just to buy a new PC or motherboard.

You mean, actually soldered in the motherboard? I thought that only applied to laptops?

That is pretty irreverent anyway as it would be very futile to try and find anything that you can replace it with and get much out of it.

Yeah, my motherboard is more like an old PC motherboard from 2006 or 2007. But back when I had my laptop (before it got destroyed), this game ran fine with a solid 55-60 frames per second (considering the laptop had a 2010 Pentium CPU on it).
