Well on top of that dollar equivalent I mentioned, if I order something from the USA, I also have to pay custom taxes, fees and shipping charges (depending how much it weighs). If the item costs more than 200 dollars, you have to pay an additional 50 to 70% of its price in taxes, depending on the item.

To be able to bring it home once it was at the airport, due to the item surpassing the $200 limit, and due to its weight, I had to pay the equivalent of almost 800 dollars. And even with that final $1400 cost, it was still cheaper than buying it at a local store.
