This is my first post and I registered because of this issue and how much I love Dolphin. I also searched and didn't manage to find anything exactly matching what I found to be the problem so if this is already known.. I tried searching. I am using Dolphin 4.0-4117.

In Twilight Princess I found 2 issues with the minimap, the first being anisotropic filtering breaks the minimap in D3D and OpenGL, the second being with with anisotropic filtering off OpenGL doesn't render the fade effect around the minimap properly. Force texture filtering was off for all of this, and for good measure I turned it on with AF and it didn't make a difference.

Anisotropic Filtering an enhancement that isn't expected to work in all titles. The game does some really weird effects for the minimap, and filtering it breaks it.

The fade around the minimap is likely line-width, which isn't completely emulated in OpenGL yet. I'm not 100% sure on that one, but, likely a graphics guru will come in and correct me if I'm wrong!

This is a good way to report it though, your images are very concise, and you did a good job explaining the issues. Unfortunately, there may not be anything else we can do except say "turn off AF" because not all games are compatible with all enhancements.

Build 4.0-4091 here, didn't notice anything all the way up to x16 AF, x3 IR, OpenGL

Then again, I have EFB set to RAM and SAFE so that may have something to do with it

I also had EFB to RAM and SAFE texture, so maybe its a problem with the build or AMD?

Updated to 4.0-4117 and did the same tests..

Nothing changed, even started a new game to check it out

As a matter of fact, I don't even have that "fade effect", as you put it, on my mini map at all

Twilgiht Princess Hack disables the fade effect. The reason the game is so slow without the hack, is indeed the minimap.
