Tried that, still happens. I even tried keeping the controller on the table and literally not touching at all, still happens in intervals.
Fairly certain its something in DS3 Tools, should I get a screenshot of my settings if that helps?

Maybe it'd be easier for you if you set PS3 ctrl to emulate Xbox 360 ctrl... it does not have gyro.

Set it to 360, but now the device itself is not showing up in the Gamecube pad device list...

Maybe restarting the Dolphin will help?

BTW you're on old Dolphin build (3.0-235-dirty) and I'm on latest build (3.0-678-dirty), if that helps.

Oh god, I feel stupid. It was right there, I just didn't notice it >>; Anyways, I tried it and it seems to be perfect so far. No more random NIHAO! UP SMASHES anymore <<;
Will return if something does happen.
Thanks a ton for helping out!
By the way, completely irrelevant to Dolphin, but I also use PCSX2, this won't affect my controls on it will it? All I have to do is just a quick reassign for all the controls right?

Ok so there must be something I am missing. I have used motioninjoy for a long time. Use it on many pc games that require a 360 controller, never have an issue.

I have followed the tutorial step by step, I have tried all the options from ps1 to the 360 controller emulation.

Nothing seems to work. I tried going back to a pc game Lego Batman 2, just to see and it worked just like it should.

I am trying to play nsmb and the only thing that works is my left mouse button as button 2.

If someone wants to try to help, or has a saved profile for the ps3 controller dualshock 3 that they would like to share, would be great.

I am using the latest version of Dolphin

EDIT: wow I feel dumb I was trying to configure a gc controller when I had t do Wii.

I apologize for the lack of responses. I've been away for College and haven't had time to do any real experimenting. I will look through all the questions you have lined up for me and test them individually.

A piece of advice I can give as of now is this: When you're setting the L/R Triggers, you don't need to hassle for the & AND anymore. On the L/R & L/R Analog, you can assign the buttons respectively, and it's 'sensitivity' should automatically apply in that scenario.

I also need to re-upload links to the downloads since Megaupload is no more.

Please keep in mind that this tutorial is mainly for GameCube and GameCube games so anything Wii related might not work 100%. I'm still working on that though so rest assured.

Yea, the only thing that pissed me off about the video is the fact that it took me so long to find it over all of the other horrible tutorial videos. I mean you explained this so easy & im about the farthest thing from knowing really any technical things about computers. So wanna say thank you for making an easy video & not assuming that were all really understanding completely about computers. Great tutorial, great video & directions. Thank you so much again

I've been trying to put this guide to work, but my Dualshock3 controller inputs are totally different from the ones of the tutorial.

I don't get what I should assign L-analogic and R-analogic to, in my configuration Axis Z-/Z+ are already assigned to my right analog stick. If i put them also on R/L-analogic, the sensitivity doesn't work with the triggers but by moving the right analog stick up or down...

Screenshot: http://puu.sh/1a59l

My Main Stick (Levetta Principale in italian) is the left analog and C-stick (Levetta di controllo in italian) is the left analog. Button 6 is L2 and button 7 is R2.

Also, I'm not sure about this, but in my controller Yr/Xr +/-, that are used in the tutorial as the C-stick, are the commands for the Sixaxis...

Am I doing something wrong?
