Hello ROkon2,

I am having problems with setting up the PS3 controller for dolphin 3.00-72. I've also download the latest DS3. I followed the youtube video and your directions. When I test the controls they light up on the configuration screen but when I start the game, none of the button works. I am trying to play Xenoblade if that makes any difference. Please help Here is a picture of my configuration. IMAGE

Thank you so much for your help. I've been through about 10 different tutorials today.

Have you got port 1 set to GameCube pad in the config menu?

Um.... Xenoblade is a Wii game. Set up an Emulated Wiimote, not a GC controller.
Tip: Attach a Classic controller to the Wiimote.

I didn't notice you'd said Xenoblade, so sorry for not pointing you in the right direction.

I am really confused here.
I am trying to use my DS3 as a Gamecube controller for playing Super Smash Brothers Brawl, I think I have set up everything properly, but weird stuff happens when I am ingame. For example, my character will randomly use up smashes, or jump or move around without me even touching the controller. Is this a fault of the controller or have I set it up incorrectly?

That rarely happened to me too. MiJ indeed has issues related to random buttons triggering, at least that's what I've heard in MiJ's forums.

It happened very often to you? If that's the case, I have one question for you: By "touching the controller", did you mean you only hold the controller but didn't touched any buttons and/or analog sticks? If that's the case, you might have mapped the buttons with your PS3 ctrl's GYROSCOPICS by accident. If that's not the case, then I have no idea what to help you.

Maybe poor bluetooth signal?

I use MiJ to emulate Xbox 360 ctrl with my PS3 ctrl BTW.

Indeed, I do mean holding the controller but not pressing any buttons.
I am still not very familiar with MotionJoy(Just got my controller a couple of days ago) so maybe its something in there? Do note I play with a USB cable and not bluetooth. If it helps I have set Playstation 3 in the mode section(The one with modes like PS2, PS1 and Xbox etc.)
So if it is gyro, is there a way I can solve that and map it to proper buttons?

I've set PS3 ctrl in native mode in MiJ and configured the GCN ctrl with it. I've mapped the four directions in C stick section with PS3 ctrl's gyroscopics and apparently the "Axis __" matched to the pic you posted. Pretty sure Gyro is the cause!

You can map the button properly by putting PS3 ctrl on the table, it will not let gyro tilt in any directions.
