I'm using Dolphin 5.0 and my pc specs are CPU: ThreadRipper 1950X, GPU: GTX 1080Ti and 16 GB of ram.
Originally I was using a cheap $15.00 wired Xbox Controller which worked fine for GameCube games and just sort of barely okay for Wii games. Turns out mapping the Wii's IR inputs to an analog stick that spring returns to center works but makes aiming extremely difficult.
I also have a Nintendo Switch that I bought to play BotW on (Let's face it; that's the only reason to buy a Switch, lol) and I noticed that the Pro Controller (and the joycons too for that matter) have motion control capability built in that's not IR based. I'm guessing it's got the same suite of sensors every smart phone has but that gives them a similar ability to point to aim so I started looking into the possibility of using the Pro Controller with Dolphin on my PC to play the Wii version of TLoZ Twilight Princess.
I found some basic instructions and it almost works. I can map all the buttons and axes for the analog sticks just fine and those all work well in game but I'm getting absolutely nothing in the way of motion controls.

mentions this guide that he followed for joycons https://jilaxzone.com/2021/04/01/how-to-use-nintendo-switch-joy-con-on-dolphin-emulator-emulating-wiimote-nunchuck-and-motionplus/ but that guide seems to be out of date maybe? Or maybe something else. It has screenshots of Dolphin were which show the "5.0" up in the upper left corner of the window but yet when I open the "Controllers" configuration pane there is no "Alternate Input Source" button at the bottom like the one shown in the screenshot shown in the above mentioned guide.
At my wiits end here. Is the a better guide someone can link? or does anyone have an idea about what I might be doing wrong?
EDIT: Making progress. Part of my problem was that the version of Dolphin I downloaded was the most recent stable version. Little did I know the most recent stable version was over 5 years old and it's the beta version that everybody is basically treating as a stable version.
Anyway, I downloaded the most recent Beta version and now I've got the motion pointing working just fine however now I can't seem to get the nunchuck motion working which means there are certain attacks I can't use in the game like the shield attack which requires thrusting the nunchuck forward or the spin attack which requires shaking the nunchuck left and right.
Those are things I could live with mapping them to an analog stick as I have one left unused since the pro controller has two and a Wiimote with nunchuck only has one, but I'm still having trouble figuring out how to do that.
