Trying to run Dolphin on Galaxy S9

Very impressive with Vulkan in S6, many games work smooth af compared with old bild and without buffer storage support. I know Few graphics bugs due to remove game.ini. I needed to disable efb to ram in few inis 03-15-2018, 06:50 AM

So this is kinda a "known issue" in that it's a driver limitation without a workaround, and arguably not really a dolphin bug. It's just unfortunate if you're trying to use one of the games that relies on dual-source blending (like RE4). 03-15-2018, 02:55 PM
Have been messing around with my S9+ (US Snap Fragon 845) and am very impressed. Mario Kart DD and mist lite games run perfectly with open GL. Vulcan only appears to work with a few games however. My note 8 using Vulkan still performs worse than my S9 running open GL. In fact, even after playing for an hour or so, I noticed that MKDD had zero slow down from CPU throttleing. Also, Super Monkey Ball 2 works flawlessly with OGL or Vulkan, on my Note 8, that game wouldn’t even open without crashing or very strange artifacts. I’m assuming Vulkan is having issues on the S9 due to Android O, hoping this fix comes soon. Either way, defiantly impressed for sure.

Do you think you could post some dolphin gameplay vids on your S9+? 03-15-2018, 04:52 PM

It is expected that the former has a higher performance. We've added a performance warning in the last day for the latter... 03-16-2018, 07:47 AM
Hello,
I have a Samsung S7 exynos and testing the commented builds, the application closes when using Vulkan ... Should that happen? the update was only for the S9 with Mali? the error is by some configuration? just change to vulkan nothing more Game tested:ZWW (03-16-2018, 07:47 AM)rickx85 Wrote: Hello, Nope.
