So I looked at the BT Passthrough wiki page and each one I look up that has a green box that says it works without problems is sold out or they don't make it anymore. Does anyone know a good adaptor that works?

There should be Wii BT modules available. And yes. It´s your best option.
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.
Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

A plug and play would be nice. But if there is some place that can explain how to make something with the Wii module that would be nice.

Indeed, there is a thread about soldering wires to the Wii BT module.

Hoping I can hijack this thread. I made an account to basically ask the same question. I currently have a Kinivo BTD-400 that I just happened to have already and I wanted to try the passthrough feature, now I'm becoming obsessed with it, it just works so much better in almost every way, however this adapter leaves a bit to be desired in a few areas. Seems to be a bit laggy sometimes when 4 controllers are connected and the range can feel weak. I understand the official modules are the clear winners here, but my soldering skills are just non existent.
I'm wondering if anyone uses the Sena UD100? The wiki makes it look like it performs as well as the official modules, and due to it's price and size I could see why it seems better than all the small adapters but was hoping to hear some first hand experience with it with things like 4 controllers, range etc. 02-20-2019, 03:39 AM
You could do a google search for a makerspace or hackerspace in your local area. I can almost guarantee there will be someone there who is good at soldering and will be willing to help teach you or might even do it for you on a simple thing like the wii bt adapter. At the very least there is usually decent equipment for doing it there that will make it much easier.

I tested several adapters including two of the ones listed as working good in the wiki "IOGear GBU421" and "Kinivo BTD-400" and none of them were usable. They either had issue #3 "Starts having lag issues after ~30 minutes. Reconnecting the Wii remote is required." or #6 "Has issues connecting multiple Wiimotes.". The UD100 has none of these issues. Though I should point out that I only have 2 wii remotes, so I can't say if more can be connected without issues. It does have issue #1 "May stop working after HCI resets (stopping, resetting emulation or going back to the system menu)." But that's not really a problem for me. If I need to exit to the Wii Menu, I just need to press a button on the wii remote to re-connect it. The audio is listed as good in the wiki but it's not. I guess I would say it's "average". All in all, it's by far the best one I have tried. The lag issues of the others were driving me nuts. 02-20-2019, 07:34 AM

Edit Reason: correction
)
I looked into the same Wiki list and was only able to find this BT Stick, SENA Parani UD100.
http://www.senanetworks.com/ud100-g03.html I bought it at this reseller: http://www.hantz.com/ASP/NewProducts/lan...E=BT-UD100 This was the only completly working stick from that list, i was able to find. And this shop was the only reseller i could find. (Today i found it on Amazon!) That was ~ 2 weeks ago. And i have to say, after a few starting problems (because i'm a Dumbest Assumable User), i got it running. And i love it. It's really expensive for a BT Stick. But it's range and quality is unbelivable. |
