Also, using frame skip will help. Setting it to '2' is good enough to see what's going on, and it speeds up pretty good. This will make the speed less smooth, but it will help. It's what I use to help with speed.

No offense Anbar48, but your computer is probably not-so-good for Dolphin given its specs. An i5-6600K won't even have to deal with frameskipping, at all. Even my old i5-2500K doesn't need it.
Additionally, frameskipping in Dolphin doesn't actually work like it does in emulators for 2D systems like the NES or SNES. Dolphin's frameskipping mostly helps if the GPU load is too high (which won't be the case unless some graphical settings are turned on too high), but the CPU load remains the same. 12-19-2016, 11:04 AM
I removed frameskip because it was broken trash in post 5.0 dev builds.
So no it won't. 12-19-2016, 11:07 AM

I don't get it. Your AMD CPU is faster and has less cores than my AMD FX-6300 but I can run Melee with 4 players on Fountain of Dreams with items turned on just fine besides the occasional minor shader cache stutters. And I'm not getting any slowdown/stuttering in Double Dash even with 4 player splitscreen.
You sure you didn't have the graphics settings up too high or had the texture accuracy set to safe instead of fast? |
