Hello everyone, I am fairly new to the Dolphin emulator, so far I have had no problems (that have not been easily fixable by the amazing support available out there) but this issue is driving me crazy.
Currently I am playing LOZ: The Wind Waker, reliving a part of my childhood (In an amazing resolution >, but have found that certain triple button combos, such as trying to dodge right (left, up and down work fine) will not work, my key configuration is a little strange, but it works for me.
Example - Right dodge
A (for L) + X (for A) + Right arrow key (for... well)
But this same combination with the left arrow key works fine.
Basically, I am wondering if the problem lies with my keyboard Driver being unable to detect certain multi-inputs, or with Dolphin itself.
Does anyone else have this issue?
Sorry for the vagueness of this post, this is my first time posting
Any information would be most appreciated, this isn't a game breaking issue, but.... you know, being able to dodge in both directions is pretty handy
I will try to post a screenshot of my GCpad config, sorry if it fails to upload.
EDIT - After some testing I have found that the only two issues I have are with Jumping to the right, and shielding while moving to the right, every other combo is fine.
A + Space + Right
A + X + Right
Every other direction works fine.
EDIT#2 - I have tried these combinations with a different control setup and it works just fine, I have narrowed it down to being my keyboard unable to detect these combination of inputs, how strange.
Sadly I really want this control setup :/
I will look into finding a solution but this has nothing to do with Dolphin, still I would be interested if anybody else has experienced a problem like this, and if so did they manage to find a work around?
EDIT#3 (PHEW) - Okay, I am a fool, turns out after a very tiny amount of research keyboards are wired in such a way that certain keys share part of the circuit, thus resulting in certain combinations not being picked up, as there is already the maximum amount of signals being sent down that circuit, my solution was to simply swap my L & Z buttons around, and all is working fine. I knew of this issue but have never experienced it with this keyboard as it's a gaming keyboard.
I do not know what protocol this forum follows for posts such as this one, so I am just going to leave this up as it might help someone out who was having a similar issue.
Seems I answered my own post
