Trouble with Slot B in GC Animal Crossing

Hey everyone,

My problem is that my memory card can be read from Slot A, but if I try to read it from Slot B, it tells me that the card needs to be formatted.

I'm playing the NTSC version of Animal Crossing, and I have tried many revisions of dolphin, but none of them worked.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I can play the game perfectly otherwise.
