Hello.
I have a Wii, and two Nintendo controllers, with two Third Party controllers. All four of them worked perfectly on my Wii. Some time ago, I moved, and I no longer have a TV - and have no need of it, except for my Wii.
Decided to move to the dolphin, both for utility purposes, some uspcaling, and perhaps some online play too.
Now, I bought a bluetooth dongle (the only one my hardware store had, Trust Manga Bluetooth 4.0 ). Now, there are more than a couple of problems going around.
Yesterday I did a test run - used my wii motion sensor bar, plugged into the Wii (inelegant as all hell, but I had no problems with sensor bar, and I just ordered an USB based one). Now, to cut the long story short - all of four Wiimotes work, when connected. The connecting part is the problem.
While using the default option, First party Wiimotes connect with no problems. One of the two Third party controllers (they are matching, got them both at the same time), connects quite regularly, but the other one takes multiple attempts, and seems to be connecting completely arbitrary. Mind you, I have no idea how I actually connect any of the Wiimotes - sometimes i press 1 and 2, sometimes I use the red button behind the batteries.
Upon some further reading, I decided to pass-through the bluetooth adapter, I followed the wiki guide, and set it all up. At first - it seemed to work better. I connected the original Wiimotes, then one of the third party ones. The fourth wouldnt connect, but i wasnt trying for so long, maybe 5 mins. I wasnt using the motion bar for this experiment, the point was to connect the Wiimotes, and once connected (tested on Mario Party 9) they do work, or rather, each one of them rumbles, and can move the cursors using the D pad).
I changed games after that, and after this, none of the Wiimotes seem to be able to connect. Once again, I'm not sure how exactly I was connecting them - I'd turn the game on, then I'd sometimes press 1 and 2, sometimes sync on the controller, and I'd press sync in Dolphine options.
Any tips, or advice? Getting a third and fourth First party Wiimotes seems like the best option, but finding them are a pain, I dislike second hand stuff, and well, I dont really have money to toss around. Cant figure out how exactly to get them to connect consistently. Once connected they seem to work perfect.
