Trouble Connecting Joycons

I've set up my joycons using vjoy and this driver https://github.com/mfosse/JoyCon-Driver It says my joycons are connected and combined but I can't figure out how to actually map the controls, Dolphin isn't registering me pressing buttons. If anyone could tell me what to try it would be appreciated.
