Trigger help

Hello, I'm having trouble setting my triggers correctly for the gamecube controller settings. When I set the triggers to both L/R and L/R analog, it won't do anything analog at all, just go straight to maximum even while just slightly pressing the trigger. When I have it just on analog, I get full analog range except for the maximum. Is there something I'm missing to make the triggers work properly? Thanks. I'm using a 360 gamepad and Dolphin v. 3.5-367.
