Triforce unable to start correctly

Just downloaded a fresh copy of Dolphin Triforce but facing some issues. (dolphin-Triforce-4.0-315-x64)

First it asks for msvcp120.dll and msvcr120.dll because apparently they are missing.

I have tried installing, uninstalling and reinstalling all the Visual C++ runtimes and nothing seems to make a difference. Correct version and everything!

Ok, now I download those *.dlls separately and manually place them in the Triforce root directory. Great, now we get past those missing file errors and get "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application."

Then I tried some compatibility modes and got nowhere.

Not sure what to try next. Any ideas?

The triforce branch is no longer supported. You won't find much help here.

For anyone else who might find this problem try the x86 version. Seems to be working fine. It still would be nice to have x64 if anyone knows a solution.

Please never download .dll for stuff like this manually. Sorry that there's no proper error message, but you need to download and install the correct Visual C++ Redistributable package. No idea which one it is for that old build, but if you want to run the 64bit version of that build, you need the 64bit version of that Visual C++ Redistributable package.

So it needs to be a specific year/version and not just the latest I can find? I've tried a few different versions but nothing has hit so far. Is it just a matter of finding the exact C++ version?

I was having the same problem and I registered just to say how i solved it, i had install all of these without success:

Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable (x64)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable (x86)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x64)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x86)

And my dolphin 4.0-315 (x86, x64) was asking me about the msvcp120.dll file.

the way i solved it was installing:
Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable (x64)

Please see our rules about necroposting. This thread is well over 2+ years old. Furthermore, we don't support any Triforce branches currently. Messing around with old or unofficial builds is something you'll have to do on your own, unfortunately.
