Tried Everything - Xbox Controller for Xenoblade

Hi Guys, sorry to drag up an old thread but i'm having some difficulties with Xenoblade and Xbox control, everything is ok with other games but on Xenoblade when I push left on my left thumbstick the character proceeds right, ive checked the setting and the thumbstick is registering fine in the settings, any help be appreciated.
