Information
Hello!
Firstly, I want to thank you all the time and effort invested on do this excelent emulator for everyone without non-profit.
Now, I'm going to explain my problem:
I'm playing Tales of Symphonia (GC). I can play as normally, and it goes with 100% speed always (also battles), except sometimes in 96% and 98%. My problem happens when the screen shows text, and it's a bit annoying when you need to read, because the text begins to tremble:
http://i39.tinypic.com/23lgunm.png
http://i43.tinypic.com/ne8i1c.png
(in the screenshots I marked the strange things that appears with red. It's a static photo: when it's running, many numbers and letters like this appears and disappears very very fast. Sometimes, the speed decreases, too... Undecided)
The problem it's even worst when I'm in the map or reading the diary, as you can see at the captures. I don't know what to do...
Here you have the caracteristics of my PC:
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate (v64 bits)
Processor/CPU: Intel Premium III Xeon, 3000 MHz
Video Card/GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 210
Memory/RAM: 4 GB
Dolphin Revision Currently Using: Dolphin r7436
Maybe it is something wrong in that? (I hope not)
I already update drivers of Video Card. So, I don't know where the problem is.
Please, give me a hand. I really apreciate all help you could give me, as configurations, ideas or advices.
By the way: I can play other games as normally, like MMORPG's and other emulators. So, I'll prove if this happens with others games with Dolphin.
Thanks.
PD: I'm spanish, sorry for the mistakes in the writing.
Listen to my story, this may be our last chance... (Final Fantasy X)

EDIT: Managed to fix Tinypic. If anyone has the same issue of tinypic not loading anymore, let me know.
Saw your pictures. So the letters keep changing and dissappearing?

Yes.. your FPS will drop considerably when viewing menu's etc.
Are you using HLE or LLE audio?
Could you also post the rest of your settings?

Try to download and use the official 3.0 build (64bits).

I changed the version to Dolphin 3.0x64 now, and the problem of letters is already solved (finally! thank you very much):

But now... it looks like the speed is slower in battles (that never happens before). It looks like when there are many enemies with many "details" (as the fire), the speed decreases to 70-80, and when there are just one or two, with no so much "details" (no fire), it increases again to 98-100%...

This is my configuration now. I'm sure the problem is there, but I don't have a clue of where:

Okay, good to hear your letter problem is fixed.

I'd recommend you to switch to DirectX 9 backend.
Set the EFB-Copies to Texture instead of Ram.

*_* It looks like that was the problem: Now it's running at 100% even with enemies with "many details", just changing to DirectX9 and to Texture last night.

I never had the oportunity of finish completely this game. Thank you very much for your help.
The only trouble that happens is that sometimes the emulator closes suddenly, usually five/ten minutes after start playing. I suppose this is because of this game is not working at 100%, as the web says (http://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Tales_of_Symphonia). I remember that a friend of me had the same problem with another game (game that I have in my shell too waiting for me to finish it) that didn't have 100% compatibility. So, I just have to save often. I'll be content just to finish the game.
Again, thank you very much. If I have another problem, I'll post again by here.

I'm also playing the game right now. It shouldn't crash that often.
You can also save-state. Never had issues here with them. Just make sure you pause the game (ingame) then save.
Or if you're in a battle just hit the menu button and save.

The game works pretty well actually... but there is some issues with the music if you use HLE.
In order to get the music working, you have to switch to LLE (you have to dump some files to get it to work).
But LLE will slow down your FPS a lot if your PC isn't fast enough.

Quote:Processor/CPU: Intel Premium III Xeon, 3000 MHz

Sorry, I know this is unrelated but that caught my eye. There are at least two things wrong with this.
1. There is no such thing as an Intel Premium III Xeon, what you probably meant was Intel Pentium III Xeon
2. The Pentium III Xeon never reached clock rates anywhere near that high. The highest models they ever produced were 1400MHz, and those were only on the market for a few months.

So either you don't have a Pentium III Xeon, or your clock rate is much lower. I'm guessing the former. Run dxdiag and check your processor. I probably shouldn't have bothered pointing this out since it's unrelated to the thread topic but correcting this mistake might save somebody some time if you repost these specs somewhere else.

- Garteal: If the crashes are not natural, I'm lost again... but well, I can survive with them. With the audio, I tried the change you said (to LLE), but doesn't work... what do you mean with dump some files? Audio doesn't present many problems, just noise in some second, but for the sake of improving the performance...
- NaturalViolence: Hm, I don't know, I just copied the data showed from the program Everest, exactly here:

@NV
Yes, thanks for pointing it out. Now she will atleast know what her CPU is. Smile

@Ashrea
Your processor is an Intel Dual Core E5700 @ 3GHz.
The reason why you see such a weird CPU name is probably because you have an ancient version of Everest. (2005)

Ontopic:
Audio doesn't sound stuttery or anything, it's just that there are intruments missing from the music that play. If you have never played the game before, you won't notice..
but since I have many times, it's hard to play with them missing.

LLE will only work if you dump some files from your Wii and put them in the User/GC folder.
Here is a thread that explains how to do it.
But keep in mind that your FPS will decrease a lot... and it will be worse in battles.

I'm usually at 60 in battles, but when people cast magic and talk a lot in battles, I drop to 40 or so.

As for the crashing; does it crash randomly, after a set time?

Where are you in the game now?

It was hard, but I extracted the files from the Wii... for a very sloooow speed&FPS as result. Yeah, it sounds REALLY good, but...

More or less. Usually after ten minutes, and Dolphin closes. But when I open it again, this don't happens anymore. By other way, sometimes the speed is 100/98% and the FPS decrease to 10... I don't understand why.
PD: I'm in the Human Ranch of Asgard, the second time.
