I recently got a new PC that I think can run certain games on Dolphin much more efficiently. Specifically, I'm midway through a playthrough of Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, and would like to pick up where I left off. I located the save file on Computer 1, and put it in it's respective location in Computer 2. However, when I tried to open the game in Dolphin, Dolphin would crash. I know it's not a problem with the ROM, because I opened it before transferring the file, and it worked just fine. So I assume there are just additional files I need to move over. Any insight would be appreciated.

You make it sound like dolphin crashes when trying to run the game whether or not you load the saves?
Is that the case? And are you talking about save states or native saves? What files did you actually copy and to where? Use native saves. 06-19-2014, 12:04 AM
Dolphin didn't crash before I tried importing the save file. It just started a new game, and I want to continue from where I left off. Sorry if I wasn't clear. I'm not concerned about save sates, just the native save.
On Computer 1 in the folder [MyName]/DolphinEmulator/Wii/title/00010000/52464545/data there is a file named FE10_US.dat. I was lead to believe this was the game's save file. I copied it to the same location in Computer 2. Dolphin only crashed when trying to load the game after I did this. |
